What is a Gastroenterologist?
A gastroenterologist is a type of medical specialist that focuses on diseases of the digestive tract (the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and colon) as well as the liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and most everything else inside the abdomen. Becoming a gastroenterologist requires an additional three years of training after completing an internship and residency program in internal medicine.

Precision Digestive Care is a solo practice, meaning there is only one doctor at the practice. This ensures excellent continuity of care and allows Dr. Gandolfo the ability to build stronger relationships with his patients than would be otherwise possible in a large group. Do you take my insurance?
Precision Digestive Care accepts most commercial insurance plans and Medicare. However since insurance plans change from time to time, we will ask for your insurance information when we schedule your appointment.
We also offer reasonable cash rates.

What should I bring to my appointment with Dr. Gandolfo?
Please bring a photo ID, your insurance card, a list of your medications, any pertinent health information and/or test results, any questions that you have for the doctor, and your copay.

What hospital does Dr. Gandolfo have privileges at? Where does he do procedures?
Dr. Gandolfo performs most endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures at his QUAD A-accredited procedure suite located in the Central Street office. Dr. Gandolfo also has privileges to see patients and perform procedures at Huntington Hospital.
