Our practice is built on four core values: Honesty is our most important value, as without honest and open communication with our patients, nothing else would matter. Respect for our patients is paramount for creating an environment based on mutual understanding. Professionalism is a must for any good medical practice, and even more so for a gastroenterology practice. We recognize that patients come to us with some of their more sensitive health issues, and we treat them with the expertise and manner expected of a professional. Precision is the last core value…after all it is the name of the practice! Precision means paying attention to the details, being exact, and making every effort to do it right the first time!
Dr. Frederick Gandolfo was born and raised on Long Island. He was one of those kids who just always knew that he wanted to be a doctor, despite not having any family in the medical field. He was a premedical student at Fordham University, which is also where he met his future wife. During medical school, he was drawn to gastroenterology because of the balance between clinical problem solving and technical skills that are required by the field. The tangible and immediately rewarding nature of endoscopic procedures was what sealed the deal for his future in gastroenterology. This also answers one of the most common questions he gets from people: “How does a person end up choosing to be a gastroenterologist?”
Dr. Gandolfo attended medical school at SUNY at Stony Brook School of Medicine and then completed internship and residency in internal medicine at NYU Langone Medical Center.
After completing fellowship training in gastroenterology at NYU, Dr. Gandolfo moved back to Long Island and worked for several years with a large practice in Nassau County. In 2017, Dr. Gandolfo decided to go solo and Precision Digestive Care was born! The new practice opened its doors officially on May 1, 2018.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Gandolfo enjoys spending time with his wife Noreen and his two children. He is an avid photographer and a fitness enthusiast. He enjoys reading on new topics, and tries to learn something new every day.

A fellow Long Islander, Physician Assistant Toni-Ann Bligh was born and raised in New Hyde Park, NY. From a very early age while attending Sacred Heart Academy she decided medicine was her path in life and helping others with their medical conditions as a Physician Assistant was her goal.
She graduated from the Wagner College PA program in June of 2000 with a baccalaureate of science degree with a physician assistant major. She performed her clinical rotations in various specialties at Staten Island University Hospital where she explored many areas of medicine.
Quickly after graduation, she began her career at St. Francis Hospital and Heart Center in Roslyn, NY where she remained for over 20 years. She worked in the Internal Medicine Department taking care of patients from their admission in the emergency department to their discharge from the hospital in collaboration with their attending physician and specialists. During this time, she discovered gastrointestinal diseases as a specialty that interested her.
She met Dr. Gandolfo at St. Francis hospital prior to him opening his solo practice in Huntington and eventually joined him at Precision Digestive Care in January of 2022. She is now proud to work alongside Dr. Gandolfo and serve the Long Island community as a gastroenterology Physician Assistant.
Outside of work, you can find Toni-Ann cooking and exploring healthier recipes for her husband and three children. She enjoys learning about nutrition and reading journals focusing on better health and lifestyle choices. She loves music, the arts, and spending time with her family and Bernese mountain dog, Clyde.
